CampsBay Media has successfully completed a training programme in football writing for the staff of online publication, FCNaija.com.
The training session was held on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at the board room of 70th Precinct Limited, owners of the leading digital football imprint.
Lolade Adewuyi, Chief Strategist of CampsBay Media, led the training with four modules that included – Football News Writing, Match Report Writing, Football and Social Media –Understanding the Trends and Ethics of Football Writing.
A fifth module titled How to Write a Feature Piece: A Step By Step Guide was taken by Aanu Adeoye, a football features writer.
The interactive training was organised by 70th Precinct Limited to help its writers refresh their minds and to expose them to modern online football writing.
Adewuyi, who has more than 12 years of experience in sports media and has been to two FIFA World Cups, is a former Chief Editor of football website Goal.com and a columnist for The Guardian.
He gave news and match report writing practical sessions to the staff of FCNaija during his hands-on training.
The Ethics of Football Writing session was the most engaging as trainers and staff discussed hot topics about best practices for football writers.
The feedback from the staff afterwards was positive when they filled in the anonymous form.
